Girl Sanctuary
Kim and I had a great chat a while back about LookingGlassLane and what exactly the clubhouse means to me. And though much of what we do speaks about the inner child in everyone, it’s not so much that we’re advocating that everyone behave like children. Though, I’m not gonna lie, I often do.
It’s that children remember to do things for themselves. Sometimes to a fault. But I think most adults could use a little bit of that.
I love Kim’s passion for her business, Artistic Sensations, “”where whimsical meets practical in the art of children’s room design,” for two reasons. Not only does it, in a very tangible way, facilitate make-believe and imagination (for kids of all ages as you saw in the video!), it serves as a great example of what happens when grown-ups make their passions their trade—their inner child reappears.
Watch the video. It made me smile. Just seeing little Miss Kim Gellman sitting pretty in her own playhouse. Awesome.
If you want to play with Kim at her blog, on Twitter or Facebook, I highly recommend it. She’s the bestest.
Also check out her latest adventure. In conjunction with the World’s Largest Slumber Party hosted by Girls With Dreams, Artistic Sensations is sponsoring a Teen Room Makevoer Contest.

Kim,
I keep watching this video and giggling. You even have this little girl thing in your voice! Thanks so much for sharing your sanctuary with us.
