Sex and Shopping…
By: Suzanne Tucker aka Zen Mommy
Sex and Shopping. This is my life. I know, I got it rough. HA! But as everyone in the clubhouse is blogging about what they are up to lately, I thought I’d do the same.
These videos Ria and I created this week, the first on talking to your kids about sex and the second about shopping for maternity jeans, are just two of a ga-zillion reasons why I love my life. As co-creator of My Mommy Manual, I get to be all about the single most important thing to me in this world: c-o-n-n-e-c-t-i-o-n.

I hope you are following your bliss this week, this month… this YEAR, and that life is a get-to for you on a daily basis. What is the single most important thing in the world to you in a single word? How much time have you gotten to be all about that word this week? Hope lots. That’s why you are here… why you were created. At least that’s my feeling on it. What’s yours?

VIDEO WARNING: they are each over 7 min long. We NEVER go this long… but hey, it’s sex and shopping we’re talking about here. *wink*

I know (vicariously) that a good pair of maternity jeans are a lifesaver.

The question is: Where am I being led?

This is so perfect for a rainy play day. And I have to say (hear how I’m rhyming up a storm?), that selection of jeans is enough to make me want to do it all over again.
Seriously. Half of them are cuter than my non-pregnant jeans. And cheaper.
Suz, you’re a hottie. You rock the belly well.
Loved the sex video, too. On a more serious note, the subject was NEVER broached in my household. Ever. Then when I was like 16, my parents said, If you girls get pregnant, you’ll have to leave, and I was like, But wait, What’s pregnant mean?
Only half kidding.
I love how naturally you girls do this. Mostly I love that you get to do it together. And by ‘it,’ I mean talking about it with your children, obviously, wink, wink.
Thanks so much for bringing us in on the fun.
Have a Sex and Shopping weekend,
J

P.S. Ria, (laughing still as I type this) Your little-girl-giggle-and-shoulder-shrug every time Suz talks about ‘puzzle pieces’ is priceless. She’s all, “See, we can do this like grown ups” and you’re all, “giggle.”
Still laughing.
Love you girls.

yeah, not alot of tlaking about sex going on in my home when i grew up. i remember feeling cornered one time talking to my mom in my room. we sat uncomfortably side by side on my bed and talked about one thing or another. whatever it was i was far to old to be hearing it for the first time from mom as i’d heard it all as ria said… on the playgorund
on the giggles jen, you would have gotten a kick out of our first intro. we started cracking up and i’m like “ria, this is not what we want to show here…” we’d say “sex”… and giggle. try again… “sex”…. giggle-giggle. and thanks for clarifying on your statement “love that you get to do it together.” …
hope yours is a rainy sex and shopping weekend as well doll. thanks for commenting.

Yes, there was giggling and snorting… but if you’ve seen ANY of our videos, I think that’s part of the two of us just being in the same room!!! Gotta watch it again… just for the humor value. It’ll cheer up my gloomy day!
Love you too, Jen!
