| Clubhouse Credo

On the other side of the Looking Glass, everything is backward. Impossible things, become possible.
Alice laughed, “There’s no use trying,” she said, one can’t believe impossible things.”
“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
“That’s the effect of living backwards,” the Queen said kindly: “it always makes one a little giddy at first—–”
Diggin the Clubhouse Credo. As far as doing “6 impossible things before breakfast”…I typically need to wait until the coffee takes over. Making bacon and coffee can be rather impossible for me some days!

Leigh,
I think we can count the last six strides of our runs as six impossible things, right?
Cuz they always feel like it.

I love this passage! I love the entire tale. I have multiple versions of it on my bookcase! One of my favorites is Alice’s interchange with Humpty Dumpty. I’ve quote lines from it for years… especially the part about how “unbirthdays” are so much better than “birthdays” because we have more “UNbirthdays” than we have “birthdays” and such…

Just yesterday I sent my grown kids Un-birthday gifts!
